How to Celebrate National Pet Sitter’s Week

Posted by Emerald Hound on
While we all wish we could snuggle with our pups 24/7, having a trusty pet sitter to step in when we need them makes our lives so much better! March 1 - 7 is National Pet Sitter’s Week, and we’re giving a round of ap-paws (get it?!) to all the amazing sitters out there that make it easy to leave our fur babies in their care. How can you celebrate national pet sitter’s week? Read on for our best tips to show your sitter some love this week!

Find a Professional Pet Sitter

We love our pets, and we know how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for them in our absence. So finding a knowledgeable, trained, and professional pet sitter for your dog or cat is a must! If you don’t have a regular pet sitter, but you need one, use this week to find a professional pet sitter in your area. Online resources like Pet Sitter’s International and Rover and great options for finding a reputable sitter. Be sure to check your sitter’s references, reviews, and schedule a meet and greet to get to know them before their first time sitting for you. pet sitter on bench with dogs

Send Your Pet Sitter Some Love

Pets are family, which means that your pet sitter is part of the family too! Show them you appreciate them this week by sending flowers, a card, or something personalized! Our Wash Your Paws unisex tee makes for a great gift for pet lovers. Check it out, along with all of the other items in the shop, to find something special for your pet sitter!

Give a Gift for Their Pet

If your sitter has a dog or cat of their own, National Pet Sitter’s Week is the perfect time to give them something paw-some like a hand-illustrated portrait of their pet! Send us an image of their fur-baby, and choose any item from our shop to have their illustration printed on. We suggest a cute wash your paws bandana for their pet, or a ceramic pet portrait coffee mug for them!
